A Hearty, High-Mountain Taste
Cherry Bark is a Hong Cha (Black Tea) from Red Ai Township, a class of teas uncommonly produced in this particular terroir. Sourced from Nantou County, Taiwan, this tea is grown from the Qing Xin Ruin Zhi cultivar, known for its use in making High Mountain Wu Longs (Oolongs). Grown at an estate that prizes ecologically friendly growing techniques, each leaf reflects that High Mountain origin through their rich tapestry of flavors. Of particular note is their Winter plucking season, which in this particular batch imparts a lovely creaminess and woodiness compared to its Spring Pluck counterpart. Simply put, we love this tea.
