Timeless Iron
Fragrant Harbor is a Fujian Province Tie Guan Yin which has been roasted in Hong Kong for the local pallet. The name is a reference to the traditional story of a farmer renewing a temple to the goddess Guan Yin and being rewarded with the original cultivar tea plant. While many are familiar with the green and floral Tie Guan Yin that is commonly exported throughout the world, this example is different because of its roasted character, which brings out a touch of salted caramel and vanilla in the leaves. It's perfect for those who appreciate the nuanced, toasty notes of a well-roasted Wu Long.
