Cha Chong (茶宠)

A tea pet is a charming clay figure that adds charm to your personal tea-drinking ritual. Designed in the likenesses of animals or mythical beings, these figures gain a unique patina through the ritual of being "fed" leftover tea.

Nick Norman plays with animal forms, breaking them into abstract parts and reconstructing new, joyfully idiosyncratic creatures. Named for the animals they resemble, a glance reveals their true chimerical nature — blending animal characteristics that are both real and imaginary.

These are handmade — expect small variations from the photo.
