Layered Flavors From Old Trees
Osmanthus Endless is a Lao Cong Gui Hua Xiang Wulong Cha (乌龙茶) from the Fenghuang Mountains in Guangdong Province. Named for its osmanthus-giving fragrance, this tea is a good example of the Fenghuang tradition of naming varietals after their aromatics. Lao Cong tea trees, which are over 80 years old, produce leaves with a bolder flavor and an exceptional Hui Gan — a "returning sweetness" that fills the mouth after each sip. These leaves, in particular, have excellent 耐泡度 (nai pao du) — the ability to withstand many infusions.
