Wild Flavors
These red-and-pink hong cha (or as we say in the West: black tea) leaves radiate with tart notes of meyer lemon and rose-stuffed xianhua bing that linger on the palate beyond the final sip. These come from trees that are roughly 100-150 years old.
Dianhong
Dianhong is hong cha from Yunnan Province.
Dian - 滇 references the former Dian Kingdom that existed until roughly 109 BC. Hong - 紅 refers to the color of the brewed liquor and, by extension, the category of tea to which these leaves belong (Hong Cha).
